The chart is a different presentation of climatology data historical SST from September 1981 - the present for the Northeast Shelf Large Marine Ecosystem and four sub-regions that correspond to fisheries management areas (Gulf of Maine, Georges Bank, Scotian Shelf, Mid-Atlantic Bight). For each sub-region, the climatology (climate normal) was calculated for the 30 year period from 1981-2012. The ongoing average daily temperature for each year can be toggled on or off.
